5 Major Strategies That Most Trainers 

Don't Implement That's Critical 

To Your Fitness Success!

Often times many become frustrated with not achieving their fitness goals simply because they don't have a tangible plan and the right coaching. So many will take the approach of, " I'll just start on Monday".  then you will begin to occupy yourself with other things to take the place of exercising such has checking your emails, spending hours on social media, getting the kids or grand kids off to school or you'll start cleaning...Just so you won't have to meet that dreaded appointment with your personal trainer. 

I've seen many clients of other trainers just show up and go through the motions or are not fully committed to the game...simply because most trainers aren't fully committed to the client. It's goes something like this: "Ok, I have 8 clients today, let me go ahead and get them in and out so I can get to the next clients and go on about my day!" 

Now I'm not say ALL trainers are like this but the ones I've encountered over the years treat this critical life transformation and a prison number.

Here are some strategies to Re-Think to see some tangible results in your Wellness and Fitness journey and what most trainer don't implement:

  1. Innercise - Most trainers are not trained to get to the C.O.R.E. (root problem) of why you are reaching your results. They are not trained to COACH you, they are trained to train you. Therefore, you are showing up, paying your money and showing little to no progress. It's More To Being Fit Than Just Working Out. You have to Dive Deep, get to the root cause and set you up for success.
  2. Accountability - Either you'll show up for your training session or you don't. If you don't show up, you're still charged for the session and this becomes "break-time" for the trainer. Accountability creates an opportunity to grow and gives you an external perspective on what you are not able to see for yourself.
  3. Change Your Intentions - If you have known me or have seen any of my workouts, everything I do has intentions. What if YOU actually looking at working out as Stepping Into Your Power you never knew you had? Or Building The Strength and Resilience of an athlete with every squat, bicep curl, lunge, etc.  
  4. Challenge You - Some trainers do challenge you...Some Don't. Try something new or challenge your trainer to try something new with you. Remember, most trainers don't have a full program for you to experience dramatic transformation. So you will either seek other help or challenge THEM to step it up!
  5. Actual Coaching - When you have a training session, that's exactly what you're getting- Training. There's no actual Coaching taking place to ensure continued success. Coaching creates a safe place to work through everything. Sometimes people are vulnerable and it helps to bring awareness to something that you may not have thought helps.

Coaching has made many and myself a more resilient person. You must invest in the knowledge, skill set and results you want. There is no way around it. Winging it frustrates you. Paying for something that you're not getting the results with, will frustrate you. Not being clear on your goals will frustrate you. 

Coaching can make you a better person, parent, friend and have better relationships and allows you an opportunity to tap into your own Living Laboratory.

3 Simple and Sexy Habits To Cultivate Your Mornings!

How Do You Start Your Morning? What’s your morning routine?
Do you start your day by grabbing your cell phone and immediate check social media? Do you start checking your messages or emails? Do you turn the television on and start watching the news or your favorite show? Do you turn on the radio?

So often we give up our sovereignty to respond to the world instead of setting the tone for the day.  Additionally, we have disconnected from our Inner Being to life’s noise. This will disrupt your focus, vibration and spirit.

In my V{Blog}, I share 3 Simple and Sexy Habits to set the tone for the day and later I will do another video for your evening routine to close out your day. Feel free to share what you do for your morning routine to start your day or if this was helpful to you as a jumpstart.

3 Simple and Sexy Habits To Cultivate Your Mornings:

  1. Attitude of Gratitude – Just Say Thank You.
  2. Drink a room temperature glass of water (plain or with lemons or cucumbers).
  3. Meditate: Have pen and paper near you: 
  • Write 3 Business/Career goals for the day.  
  • Then write 3 Personal goals for the day.

No more than 3 goals each. Aim to stimulate your Mental and Physical being.

We often hear about hypertension and cholesterol when we are
being diagnosed from our doctors or at a health and wellness fair, but wouldn’t it be nice to know how to prevent it? Establish preventive care maintenance? Knowledge on these topics are important to the community, not just those who have been told they need to improve their numbers. Whether you fall high or low on the spectrum, you should know your numbers. 

What is Hypertension?
To understand hypertension you must first understand what exactly blood pressure is, other than knowing you want your numbers to be close to 120/80 as possible.  

Blood pressure is the measurement of how hard your blood forces against the blood vessel walls. Hypertension or high blood pressure  is when the heart has to work harder than usual to pump blood out.

What is Cholesterol?
Cholesterol itself is a type of fatty substance that your body uses to make some hormones produce Vitamin D and build cells. Some cholesterol we make ourselves and some comes from the foods we eat.  Too much cholesterol can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, heart attack and stroke.  What does the excess cholesterol actually do or where does it go? It sticks to the walls of Your arteries, over time this build up will lead to narrow pathways and clots an form, preventing blood flow.

The rush Hypertension and Cholesterol are often intimidating when you are unaware of how it works; however, there is a plus that both Hypertension and high cholesterol are manageable! In addition to there being medication to keep your numbers in control when the are out of control. There are things you can do every day to prevent to help prevent the risks from affecting you.  


  • Stay Active - Strive for 30 minuets of planned activity every day.
  • Have an overall balance of fruits, vegetables,whole grain,lean proteins and healthy fats in your diet regularly.
  • Avoid over consuming foods that are high in cholesterol, sodium and sugar.
  • Do not smoke.

February is Heart Health Month

Although Heart Disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, it is one of the most preventable! Spread the word and discuss this information with your loved ones and share this blog to help them become aware.

My goal is to promote and bring awareness to the value of massage therapy to the fitness industry and professional athletes by simplifying noteworthy benefits applicable to massage therapy.

When including massage as part of your exercise regimen, many benefits of massage alleviates delayed onset muscle (DOMS) soreness after a strenuous workout. Most often some athletes continue to continue strenuous exercises without the maintenance care that needs to accompany this lifestyle.

Here are some of the benefits to athlete incorporating massage into their regimen:

  1. Massage sessions decrease significantly muscle soreness: It's effective in alleviating DOMS (delayed onset muscles) and improving muscle performance.

  2.  Massage Therapy Increases Flexibility: For an athlete to maintain optimal performance, they must maintain high level of flexibility. 

  3. Massage Therapy Improves Circulation: with proper circulation, the athletes, they can breathe more easily and more effectively. Massage Therapy improves blood flow which in improves circulation and enhances performance levels.

  4. Massage Therapy Promotes Better Sleep Patter:  Getting regular massages, sleep better and helps the athletes perform at optimal levels.

  5. Massage Therapy Increases Relaxation Levels: Research has shown that athletes have a hard time relaxing and can affect their overall health. Massage puts one's mind & body in a relaxed state thus reducing the negative psychological effects stress.


As an athlete, there are different types of massages you may receive. Each one has it's own benefits such as Sports Massage often involves fast-paced techniques, stretching and other types of techniques. It can be focused on a pre-workout stretch and opportunity to warm up the muscles or used as a post-workout massage designed to reduce soreness and increase flexibility.


Myofascial Therapy (aka Deep Tissue Massage) usually includes neuromuscular therapy and the release of trigger points, can be very effective, because it works on particular conditions in layers of muscles and fascia. This type of massage often brings intense sensations associated with trigger points.


These results translate into pain relief, re-building of muscles, and acceleration in the recovery from strenuous exercise for athletes of all kinds. Massage should also be included as a lifestyle whether you are an athlete or not. The benefits are aid to your overall well-being.
